Dear Fans, Alumni, and Faithful Supporters of Kansas City Athletics,
As we prepare for the next chapter of Kansas City Men's Basketball, I want to take a moment to share an important update. Recently, I've initiated the process of searching for our next head men's basketball coach. This search represents not just a coaching hire, but an opportunity to elevate our program to national prominence. We are seeking a transformational leader who will help us actualize our championship aspirations and build a program that reflects the pride, potential, and passion of Kansas City.
This search is vital, though it's only one component of a much larger vision for the future of Kansas City Athletics. The landscape of college athletics is ever-changing, and we are committed to adapting with intentional excellence. Together, we are building a department that not only competes at the highest levels, but one that creates the competitive atmosphere that Kansas City deserves. For that vision to become a reality, we need your support now more than ever.
It's time for Kansas City to fully engage with its only Division I program. Your investment, whether it's through purchasing tickets, joining the Roo Athletic Fund, or contributing to the newly founded True Blue NIL Fund, is essential to our success. Your contributions enable us to recruit top talent, provide our student-athletes' with the resources they need to flourish, and create a sustainable model for growth.
The formation of Roos United marked an important step in aligning and unifying our fundraising efforts. This initiative is paramount as we strive to provide our student-athletes the best opportunity to succeed. Concurrently, we are working diligently to reengage our alumni and former student-athletes in our future plans, goals, and championship aspirations.
We've seen tremendous success in the past seven years, including seven conference titles, 10 Coach of the Year honors and a top-25 men's soccer program. We know that with your ongoing support, we can leave an ineradicable mark on our city. Kansas City deserves a program that not only competes but excels, one that inspires pride and brings home championships.
Undoubtedly, this is a crucible moment and period for our Athletics Department. As we search for a new head men's basketball coach, we are also asking for your commitment. Together, we can create something truly special—a legacy of success for years to come.
Thank you for your continued support of our strategic vision. Let's rise together and show the world that Kansas City is a place where champions are made.
Roo Up,Â
Dr. Brandon Martin
Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics
