
Kansas City Athletics Names David M. Block as Chief Engagement Ambassador

Block will assist in high-level engagement opportunities
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Athletics is pleased to announce KC native and community leader David Block as Chief Engagement Ambassador for Athletics. As part of this new role, Block will be tasked with public engagement, community outreach and more.
"I am honored to take on this role with KC Athletics," Block said. "Kansas City is my lifelong home and I look forward to helping strengthen the connection between the university, our community and the fans who make this city so special."
Block has made his name as one of the Midwest's leading real-estate brokers and has had great involvement in the development of many shopping centers, restaurants, industrial buildings and other income-producing investments in the Kansas City real estate market. Some of his recent highly visible projects include development of the Plaza at the Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., Tuscany Village in St. Joseph, Mo. and the Raymore Galleria in Raymore, Mo.
"We are thrilled to be working with David as we engage the Kansas City community in our departmental goals and initiatives involving revenue generation, brand expansion and partnerships," Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Dr. Brandon Martin said. "He believes in our university and is committed to supporting Kansas City's College Team."
Beyond serving as a high-profile representative of Kansas City Athletics at events and within the community, Block will also assist in outreach, fundraising and community involvement. He will serve as an advisor towards boosting fan engagement and will collaborate within the department to cultivate contributions and sponsorships from community partners.
