Kansas City Notes

Kansas City Men's Soccer remains on the road for the second-straight game on Wednesday, taking on SIUE. It is the first time this season that Kansas City has been on the road for back-to-back games.
The Roos are coming off their third result of the season against a nationally-ranked opponent, pulling out a 1-1 draw with No. 25 San Diego on Saturday. KC's only loss of the year came at the hands of Portland, who was ranked No. 4 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches' poll.
Bryson Gosch scored the equalizing goal against the Toreros just 74 seconds after USD scored, tallying his second goal of the season. His first came in the Roos' 2-1 win over No. 24 Missouri State.
Marc Popow stepped back into goal at San Diego after sitting for the first time all season in the Roos' draw with Drake. He made four saves against the Toreros and ranks fourth in the Summit League with an average of 3.33 saves per game.
The Roos have earned corner kicks at a high rate this year, attempting an average of 6.57 per game. That mark is good for the league lead in the Summit and ranks 21st across the whole NCAA.

SIUE Notes

SIUE enters Wednesday's matchup with a 1-4 record after winning the Ohio Valley and making the NCAA Tournament last season.
Evan Howard leads the Cougars with four goals on the year and his average of 0.8 goals per game is 16th in the NCAA.
SIUE averages 1.20 goals per game as a team, the fourth-best mark in the Ohio Valley.
This will be the 13th meeting between these programs all-time with SIUE holding a 6-5-1 advantage in the series history.
The last meeting came in the form of a 1-1 draw on Sep. 8, 2023. Luke Hoelting scored KC's lone goal and KC picked up its first home result against a ranked opponent since 2013.
