Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Women's Soccer looks to extend its winning streak to three games on Thursday as the Roos take on Lindenwood. Kansas City's last three-game winning streak came last season from Aug. 22-29 of 2024.
- The Roos scored goals galore in Sunday's 7-0 win over Rockhurst, going for the team's most goals scored under Head Coach Jess Smith and the program's most since 2018. It marked the 11th time in program history that KC had scored five-plus goals in a game.
- Delfina Zolesio went for the first three goals of her Kansas City career against the Hawks, the Roos' first hat trick since Oct. 27, 2018. It marks the seventh hat trick scored in program history.
- Ashley Koch opened the scoring against Rockhurst, counting as the game-winning goal for the second-straight match. Prior to the last two games, she had not scored a game-winner in 12 career appearances. Her two game-winners on the young season are tied for the seventh-most in the NCAA.
- Kaitlyn Edwards is the only Roo with multiple assists on the season, dishing to Koch against Missouri State and to Zolesio against Rockhurst. She is ranked third in the Summit League with two total assists.
Lindenwood Notes
- Lindenwood is off to a hot start in the 2025 campaign after winning the 2024 OVC Tournament. The Lions are 3-0-1 with three wins over Missouri Valley teams.
- Lindenwood's most recent result was a 0-0 draw against fellow Summit League member Omaha. The Lions' Caroline Ritter made eight saves in the game.
- The Lions' offensive production has been spread evenly. Five players have logged one goal and three players have logged one assist.
- The all-time series between these two teams is limited to the last two seasons with KC winning both matches.
- The Roos and Lions met on Aug. 25 of last year, three different Kansas City players scored en route to a 3-0 win.
