Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Women's Soccer returns to Durwood Soccer Stadium for a game against cross-town rival Rockhurst, a game that will count as an exhibition for the Hawks but will count towards the Roos' record.
- The Roos picked up their first win of the season on Thursday evening, taking down Missouri State for the first time since 2021 and just the fourth time in 15 meetings.
- Ashley Koch was the hero for Kansas City in Thursday's game, scoring in the 88th minute on an assist from Kaitlyn Edwards. It was the third goal of Koch's collegiate career, the second of her time in Kansas City and her first game-winner.
- Despite being out-shot 10-7 against the Bears, the Roos were able to pull out the win. It marked the first time KC picked up a win in a game that they were out-shot since defeating St. Thomas in a 2-1 decision on Oct. 24, 2021.
- The Roos have started the same four in their back line in all three games to start this season - Madelyn Muhr, Emery Ruliffson, Kinsley Smith and Emilia Zolesio. All four have played at least 220 minutes, led by Muhr with 264.
Rockhurst Notes
- Rockhurst plays its first exhibition against the Roos on Sunday.
- The Hawks were 12-6-1 last season, going 10-3-1 in GLVC play.
- Greg Herdlick is the Rockhurst head coach, entering his 27th season at the helm.
- The Roos and Hawks have met twice all-time in an official capacity, once in 2011 and once in 2009.
