First Five
- Kansas City Men's Basketball plays its second game in as many days on Thursday evening as the Roos take on top-seeded Omaha in the quarterfinals of the Summit League Championship. KC has made the quarterfinal round for the second time in as many years and will look to qualify to the semis for the first time since doing so in 2017 as a member of the WAC.
- The Roos ran past Oral Roberts on Wednesday behind 24 points from Summit League Second Teamer Jamar Brown. He knocked down five three-pointers in the first half en route to 19 points, the most points by a KC player in a single half this season.
- All five of the Roos' starters played 30-plus minutes in the win over the Golden Eagles, the first time this season that KC has had five players go for 30 minutes or more. Josh Ijeh provided Kansas City's only bench points on the contest, a dunk with under a minute remaining in the game.
- Babacar Diallo set a career-best and a Kansas City postseason program record with nine assists in the win over ORU, surpassing his previous best of eight at Portland on Dec. 10. The Roos finished the night with 15 assists, moving to 9-0 on the season when dishing out 15-plus.
- KC had one of the best three-point shooting games in program postseason history, going 11-of-26 from deep. It was the first time Kansas City had shot above 40% from three in a postseason game since 2007, and Brown's five triples tied Michael Watson's 2003 program record for most in a postseason game.

- Omaha enters the Summit League Championships as the top seed, logging a 13-3 record in conference play and entering the tournament on a three-game winning streak.

- The all-time series between these two programs is tied, 9-9. Omaha owns the lone postseason win, a 73-61 decision in the first round of the 2023 Summit League Tournament.
- Omaha swept the regular season series, winning each game by an average of 15.5 points. The Mavs were the only team to beat Kansas City by double digits in conference play.
- Jamar Brown has scored 10-plus in all four of his career games against UNO, including a 22-point showing in a 63-58 win on Feb. 24, 2024.
