First Five
- Kansas City Men's Basketball returns to the Swinney Center for a rematch with North Dakota State on Thursday evening, looking to return to the win column against the Bison. KC holds a 7-3 record at home this season and is 23-14 at the Swinney Center in Head Coach Marvin Menzies' career.Â
- After using the same starting lineup for 13 consecutive games from Dec. 7 through Jan. 30, the Roos switched things up in their most recent game against Oral Roberts. Gob Gob entered the starting lineup at the point guard position, his second start of the year. The Roos have now used nine unique starting fives this season.
- Gob made use of his starting opportunity, scoring a career-high 16 points while shooting 8-of-8 from the free throw line. He is the fourth Kansas City player this season to go perfect from the line in a game with eight-plus attempts, joining Anderson Kopp (Nov. 30), Jamar Brown (Dec. 21) and Jayson Petty (Jan. 4).
- In his first game coming off the bench since Dec. 4, Babacar Diallo dished out a career-high tying eight assists in just 14 minutes of play. His previous eight-assist performance came in the Roos' road win over Portland on Dec. 10.
- Kansas City holds a 7-0 record this season when recording 15-or-more assists in a game. The last time the Roos reached that mark as a team was in their 74-64 win over Wichita State on Dec. 17.
