Kansas City Hosts Denver in Senior Night Match Up

- Kansas City Men's Basketball plays in the Swinney Center for one final game in the 2024-25 regular season on Thursday evening, hosting Denver for a Senior Night game. The Roos are 8-5 at Swinney this season and have compiled a 6-4 record in their final home game across the past 10 seasons.
- Jamar Brown has spent the last two seasons in KC and has been a leader for the Roos on all fronts, averaging 15.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while making 57 starts. He is a 2024 First Team All-Summit League player, a two-time Summit Peak Performer of the Week and was named Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week earlier this month.
- Babacar Diallo arrived in KC in Coach Menzies' first year at the helm and has transformed into a critical player for the Roos. He is averaging 7.3 points per game this season and as the team's primary ball handler has led the Roos in assists in 16-of-29 games.
- Cameron Faas joined Kansas City last season and became one of the league's best sharp shooters, ranking top 10 in the Summit League in threes per game across both years. He has tallied 135 three-point field goals in his career and is just 17 makes away from cracking the program top-10 list.
- Anderson Kopp is the longest-tenured Roo on roster, arriving to KC in 2021-22. He has appeared in 59 games across the past four seasons, scoring 604 points in a Kansas City uniform while shooting 38.9% from three.
Scouting Denver
- Denver enters Thursday's game with a 10-19 overall record and a 4-10 mark in Summit League play. The Pios knocked off Oral Roberts last Wednesday and have won two of their last three.
- DU has three players averaging over 12 points per game, led by DeAndre Craig's 13.4 ppg average. Craig boasts the league's third-best shooting percentage ag 48.6%.
- The Pioneers have success creating chaos defensively, ranking third in the Summit in steals per game (6.7) and second in turnovers forced (12.9).
- KC leads the all-time series between the two teams, 10-6, including an 8-1 advantage in games played in Kansas City.Â
- The Pioneers took the first meeting this season, a 69-68 win in Denver on Jan. 30 that saw Kansas City shoot 49.0% from the field as a team.
