KC and USD play tomorrow at 7 p.m.
THE STARTERS
- In the last game between the Roos and Coyotes, Kelby Bannerman and Lisa Thomas both came within one of earning double-doubles. Thomas logged a game-high in both assists (9) and rebounds (10) while Bannerman earned 17 points and nine rebounds.Â
- Elauni Bennett led the Roos in both rebounds and points in the loss to Omaha, putting up 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting and pulling down eight rebounds. It marked El. Bennett's second game this season as KC's leading scorer and her eighth game leading the team in rebounds.Â
- KC continues to rank in the top 50 teams nationally in offensive rebounds per game. The Roos lead the Summit in offensive boards averaging 11.4 per game during conference play. El. Bennett leads KC in offensive rebounds per game averaging 3.2.Â
- Ana Oliveira Dias matched her career-high in assists earning six against Omaha. She first earned her career-high on Nov. 12, 2024, at Western Illinois. Oliveira Dias also earned a team-high two steals against Omaha bringing her to 48 on the season.Â
- Bannerman extended her hot streak putting up her third consecutive double-digit performance with 12 points against Omaha. She was dominant in the first quarter earning nine points and five rebounds in the first 10 minutes. Bannerman has now scored more than 10 points in five games this year and the Roos are 3-2 when Bannerman scores more than 10 points.Â
SCOUTING SOUTH DAKOTA
- Grace Larkins leads USD on offense. She set a Summit League single-game scoring record with a career-high 47 points against North Dakota State. She ranks first in the Summit in points per game and third nationally averaging 24.8 points per game. Â

- The first meeting between Kansas City and South Dakota resulted in the Roos' first win over the Coyotes since Jan. 12, 2013. KC went 10-of-15 outside the arc, for its best three-point performance since Jan. 20, 2018.Â
- A win over South Dakota in the Sanford Center would mark Kansas City's first win over the Coyotes in Vermillion, S.D. across their five meetings in Vermillion.Â
