Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Men's Basketball continues the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge with a trip to Eastern Washington on Saturday afternoon, looking to bounce back from a 69-58 loss at the hands of Idaho State on Wednesday.
- Kasheem Grady II led the Roos' charge against the Bengals, going for 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting. His 19 points came within two of his career-high and his seven made field goals tied his career best. It marked the second time in his career that he has led KC in scoring in his first start since Nov. 30, 2024.
- The Roos were able to limit Idaho State to 68 points, the least by a Kansas City opponent this season and five points below the Bengals' season scoring average. ISU shot just 25% from three-point range, 10% below KC's opponent average.
- Kansas City attempted just 13 three-pointers on Wednesday, the third time this season that the Roos have shot fewer than 15 attempts from long range. For comparison, there were only five games in Coach Menzies' first three years combined that KC shot less than 15 threes.
- CJ Evans went for 11 points and four assists against Idaho State, his sixth game this year in double-digits. He currently ranks top-10 in the Summit League in assists per game (3.5, 3rd), field goal percentage (47.7, 4th) and minutes per game (30:52, 7th).
Eastern Washington Notes
- Eastern Washington enters Saturday's game with a 1-7 record on the year and a three-game losing streak. The Eagles lost their Big Sky-Summit League Challenge opener in a 93-89 decision at Denver.
- Isaiah Moses leads EWU in points, assists and steals per game, ranking 56th in the nation with an average of 19.1 points per game.
- As a team, Eastern Washington shoots the ball at a 48.3% clip, ranking fifth in the Big Sky and 78th in the NCAA.
- The Eagle own a 2-1 advantage against the Roos all-time. KC's lone win in the series came in Cheney on Dec. 18, 2008.
- EWU won the most recent meeting, an 87-80 overtime decision that occurred on Nov. 17, 2018.
