
Notes: Kansas City Closes Non-Conference Slate at Missouri

Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City wraps up the non-conference slate with a road clash against cross-state foe Missouri. Last time out, the Roos blew out Haskell 109-59 behind 22 steals as a team, setting a new program record. Five Roos recorded multiple steals in the 50 point win over the Fighting Indians.
- Kansas City's rout of Haskell was headlined by spectacular showings from the Bennett sisters. Elauni Bennett paced the Roos with 27 points and 15 rebounds, her third double-double of the season and seventh of her career. Emani Bennett poured in 25 points, giving her 25 or more points in three of KC's last four.
- Last time the Roos took down the Tigers was December 8, 2019. Kansas City completed second half comeback to upset Missouri 59-56 in the Swinney Center in a season where the Roos won the program's lone conference title in the WAC.
- Dionnah Jackson-Durrett is very familiar with the Tigers, holding a 7-4 career record against Missouri. Jackson-Durrett is 5-3 vs. Mizzou as a coach, dating back to her time as an assistant coach at Mississippi State and 2-1 as a player back at Oklahoma.
- The Roos lead the Summit League in three point shooting efficiency, converting on outside shots at a 40.8% clip this season, ranking second best in the country. On the other end, the Roos force turnovers at a high rate, generating 22.0 turnovers per game and 11.6 steals per game, both Summit best marks and top 50 on the national scene.
Missouri Notes
- Missouri is having a great start to the 2025-26 season under first year Head Coach Kellie Harper. The Tigers are 11-3 and are victors of their last two games with wins over Saint Louis 82-66 and North Alabama 84-57.
- The Tigers are 83rd in the NCAA Net Rankings for the 2025-26 season making Missouri the fifth top 100 opponent Kansas City has faced in the non-conference schedule.
- The Tigers lead the SEC in free throw shooting percentage at 80.7%, ranking 8th in the nation at the charity stripe. Mizzou knocks down 14.9 free throws a game, ranking 8th in the SEC and top 50 in the country.
- Missouri is led in scoring by Grace Slaughter. The 6'2 junior guard averages 19.4 points per game, ranking 4th in the SEC in scoring and 28th in the country. Slaughter also shoots the ball at a 47.1% clip from the field and 39.7% from three point territory.
