Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Men's Basketball returns to the confines of the Swinney Center on Wednesday evening to kick off the third rendition of the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge. The Roos are 1-3 all-time in the challenge, the lone win coming at home against Portland State on Jan. 6, 2024.
- The Roos are road tested early in the season, returning from a season-long four-game road trip. It marked KC's longest stretch of consecutive true road games since Nov. 11-25 of 2013. Kansas City has played five road games already this season, trailing only Denver's six for the most in the Summit League.
- CJ Evans is one of two players this season to start in all seven of Kansas City's games and is leading the team with an average of 13.3 points per game. Evans ranks 12th in the Summit League in scoring average, has scored in double digits in 5-of-7 games and has led KC's scoring efforts in three contests.
- D'Andre Harrison made his collegiate debut against Lindenwood on Nov. 24 and made his first-career start just one game later at Weber State. Across two games he is averaging 4.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest.
- A large chunk of the Roos' scoring comes from inside the three-point arc this season, scoring 59.4% of their points from two-point baskets. That mark is the 11th-highest in the nation, according to KenPom.
Idaho State Notes
- The Bengals enter Wednesday's meeting with a 4-4 record, most recently defeating Cal State Northridge on Friday afternoon in an 82-50 decision.
- Caleb Van De Grind is ISU's statistical leader, averaging a team-high 15.0 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while playing just 20.0 minutes per game.
- As a team, Idaho State averages just 15.5 fouls per game, the lowest mark in the Big Sky and the 44th-lowest in Division One.
- Idaho State leads the all-time series between the two teams, 4-1, including a 2-0 advantage in games played at the Swinney Center.
- The most recent meeting came on Nov. 29, 2022, a 75-65 win in favor of the Bengals.
