The Roos and Razorbacks tip-off at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening on ESPN+
Kansas City Notes
- For the first time in 20 years, Kansas City squares off with Arkansas as the Roos look for their first win over a Power Five opponent since 2019, when Kansas City beat Missouri 59-56 on December 8, 2019 inside the Swinney Center.
- Coach Jackson-Durrett has plenty of experience coaching against the Razorbacks from her time as an assistant/associate head coach at Mississippi State. In a handful of matchups, Jackson-Durrett went a perfect 7-0 vs. Arkansas from 2015-2020. Following Jackson-Durrett's departure, the Bulldogs lost their next three games with Arkansas from 2021-22.
- Kansas City has prior experience facing Coach Musick and Razorbacks leading scorer Taleyah Jones from their time in the Summit at Oral Roberts. In five career matchups, the Roos have held Jones to 27% shooting from three point range, 10 percentage points under her current season average of 37%.
- Emani Bennett comes off back-to-back games of 27 point performances, giving her four outings of 20-plus points this season. The 2025-26 All-Summit First Team selection is 68 points shy of 1,000 points in her career. The junior guard has amassed 932 career points in 74 career games played with 66 career starts.
- Kansas City and Arkansas both have leading rebounders standing 5'9 (Elauni Bennett 7.0, Bonnie Deas 9.8) making the Roos and Razorbacks two of only 12 programs in the country to have a leading rebounder that stands 5'9 or shorter this season.
- Under first year Head Coach Kelsi Musick, Arkansas is 9-3 and coming off two wins over Jackson State 77-46 and most recently, Missouri State 73-58.
- The Razorbacks are 6-1 at home this season with the lone loss coming to Harvard 69-51 on November 30. Muscik has a history of defending home court well, going 34-9 in home games during her tenure with the Golden Eagles.
- Arkansas is 88th in NET ranking this season, making the Razorbacks the fourth top 100 NET team the Roos have faced this season (Oklahoma 18, Kansas 65, Lindenwood 86).
- The Razorbacks hustle on the glass, ranking 9th in the country by grabbing 45.8 rebounds per game. Arkansas hauls in 31.3 defensive rebounds a night, the 8th best mark in the country and the second best mark in the SEC.
