Bryce Outman tallied an assist and a goal in the Roos' championship-clinching week
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - On the heels of a Summit League regular season title-clinching week, Kansas City Men's Soccer's Bryce Outman has been named the league's Kwik Star Peak Offensive Performer of the Week. Outman tallied an assist and a goal across a pair of games and currently ranks third on the team with nine total points this year.
Needing an equalizing goal in the Roos' game at UMass on Saturday, Outman delivered his fifth assist of the season. He found Guille Munoz for a header to make the score 2-2 and Kansas City scored again just minutes later to clinch a victory and keep their Summit League title hopes alive. The Roos faced a two-goal deficit once again in the regular season finale against Delaware and Outman stepped up to give KC life. He snuck behind Delaware's back line and attached to a Kenny Yedmel entry pass, bringing the Roos within a goal in the eventual draw that clinched a share of the championship.
Outman leads the Roos with five assists on the season, three of which have come in Summit League contests. The freshman ranks seventh in the Summit in points since the start of league play and has logged 1,112 minutes on the year.
Kansas City opens postseason play on its home turf, welcoming #3 Delaware back to Durwood Soccer Stadium for a semifinal match on Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets for the game are available at kcroos.com/MSOCtix.
