Lindenwood Notes
- Kansas City Men's Basketball is on the road for the fourth-straight game on Monday evening, taking on in-state rival Lindenwood. The Roos look to bounce back after a loss at TCU in their most recent game.
- Karmello Branch led Kansas City's scoring efforts against the Horned Frogs, going for 18 points with four three-pointers. Branch ranks third in the Summit League in three pointers per game (2.6) and fourth in three-point percentage (30.2).
- Jayson Petty was all over TCU defensively last Wednesday, finishing with a career-high five steals. Petty ranks 116th in the nation with an average of 2.0 steals per game and with 10 so far this season has 59 total on his career.
- Offensive rebounding has been a strength for the Roos through five games this year. Kansas City ranks second in the Summit League and 103rd in the nation with an average of 13.0 per game. Chris Dockery and Jerome Palm each average more than two offensive boards per game, ranking top-five in the Summit.
- The Roos attempted 32 three-pointers at TCU, a season-high. So far this year, just over a third of the Roos' field goal attempts have come from behind the three-point line, and the squad is averaging 25.2% shooting from long range.
Lindenwood Notes
- Lindenwood enters Monday's game with a 2-4 record, most recently losing a 73-53 decision at Indiana on Thursday.
- The Lions are led offensively by Jadis Jones, who is averaging 15.8 points per game. He ranks fifth in the OVC in scoring average and is 10th in the NCAA with a field goal percentage of 71.4%.
- As a team, Lindenwood will look to push the pace. The Lions rank 63rd in the nation with an average of 9.2 steals per game and rank 131st in fast break points, averaging 13.5.
- Kansas City holds a 2-0 all-time series lead with one game being played at home and one on the road.
- The most recent meeting came on Dec. 9, 2023, Kansas City claiming a 72-67 win in St. Charles.
