Kansas City Led by Branch in Loss at TCU

Karmello Branch scored a team-high 18 points in the loss
FORT WORTH, Texas - Kansas City Men's Basketball (1-4) dropped a contest at TCU this evening, 81-45. The Roos were led by Karmello Branch on the offensive end, scoring a game-high 18 points with four three-point makes.
TCU jumped out to an early 17 point lead before the Roos got going offensively, sparked by a triple from Branch. Kansas City's first four field goals of the day came from three-point range - two from Branch, one from Kernan Bundy and one from Jamaria Clark. On the game, over half of the Roos' field goals came from trey, finishing 7-of-32 on the day.
Jerome Palm ended the night with a team-high seven rebounds, giving him seven-plus boards in four-of-five games to begin the season. Kansas City tallied 12 offensive rebounds on the night, but were only able to convert them to nine second chance points.
The Roos' road trip continues next Monday, traveling to St. Charles, Mo. for a meeting with Lindenwood. The Roos last played Lindenwood in the 2023-24 season, coming away with a 72-67 win on the road.
