The Roos and Lions tip on ESPN+ at 6 p.m. Monday night in St. Charles, Mo.
Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Women's Basketball looks to get back in the win column on the road against Lindenwood as the Roos travel to St. Charles for a Monday night matchup that tips at 6 p.m. The Roos have done plenty of traveling early one as this will be Kansas City's third road test played in their first four games of the season.
- Last time out, Kansas City suffered a 89-61 loss to No. 6 Oklahoma. Elauni Bennett led the Roos with 19 points and eight rebounds on 70% shooting overall and a 5-6 outing at the free throw line, her career-best for made free throws in a single game.
- The all-time series between Kansas City and Lindenwood is brief as the two teams have only ever faced off once before. That lone matchup came in the 2024-25 season in which Lindenwood beat Kansas City 67-62 at the Swinney Center.Â
- The Roos show nothing but hustle on the offensive glass. Through three games, Kansas City has hauled in 17.0 offensive rebounds per game, ranking 43rd nationally and first in the Summit League. Kansas City has seen repeated success in that statistical marker as the Roos led the Summit in offensive rebounding last year as well.
- Forcing turnovers has also been a staple of the Roos mantra in the Jackson-Durrett era. The 2025-26 season has been no different as the Roos force 22.3 turnovers per game while giving up 15.3 themselves. Kansas City's 7.0 turnover margin ranks third best in the Summit League and 73rd on the national scene.Â
- Lindenwood comes into Monday night's matchup at 2-1 overall and comes off a 76-65 win over fellow Summit squad Oral Roberts. The Lions opened their season with a 107-23 stomping of Harris-Stowe State before dropping a road game against No. 16 Baylor by a double figure margin.
- Lindenwood finished 23-11 last season and 16-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference. The 2024-25 run included a runner-up finish in the OVC Tournament and a run to the WNIT Super 16.Â
- Lindenwood showcases a balanced profile across the board, ranking inside the top 100 nationally in both scoring offense (82.0 PPG) and scoring defense (54.7 PPG). The Lions dish out 21.3 assists a game, 16th in the country.Â
- The Lions are led offensively by two-time All-OVC star Ellie Brueggemann. The junior guard averaged 19.0 points a night on 56% shooting from the field and 44% from three point range.Â
