Mason Haley completed the Grier Jones Invitational at 203/-13, taking first place by several strokes
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Kansas City's Mason Haley was named Kwik Star Peak Men's Golfer of the Week in the Summit League this week. Haley performed at a high-level in the Grier Jones Invitational, boasting a field-best 203/-13 score. The sophomore linksman produced a seven-under par outing in rounds two and three of the tournament to grab a hold of the lead late thanks to  a flury of birdies and a a 16th hole eagle in the final round.Â
Haley's final line consisted of 73, 65, 65 while notching 18 birdies across the three-day event. The Enid, Okla. product took the individual crown by four strokes with the next best golfer producing a score of -9 in Wichita. Haley spearheaded the Roos to a share of the tournament crown, tying for first at -2 as a team with fellow Summit foe St. Thomas. Haley also out-shot the next best Summit League golfer by eight strokes.Â
Kansas City completes the fall season with the Nassau Invitational in Brooklyn N.Y. on October 20-21.Â
