Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Men's Soccer returns to action for a Senior Day match against St. Thomas on Saturday evening, honoring seven seniors in the team's penultimate home game of the regular season.
- Brandon McGaugh came to Kansas City after an all-conference career at Johnson County CC and was a large part of the Roos' NCAA run last season. He started in 21 games, ranking second in the Summit in goals-against average and saves per game en route to two Summit Peak Performer of the Week awards and an All-Newcomer honor.
- Joackim Betina began his collegiate career at Florida International and came to KC for his final year, where he has been a starter in 11-of-12 games and has played 943 minutes. Betina has tallied one goal and two assists on the year, accounting for the first points of his collegiate career.
- The reigning Summit League Offensive Player of the Year, Elie Kisoka rewrote the record books in his first year with the Roos, claiming program records with 12 goals and 33 overall points. His efforts led the Roos to an NCAA Round of 16 appearance and he has battled back from an offseason surgery to score his first goal of 2025, a game-winner last weekend at Oral Roberts.
- Mateus Moura spent the last two seasons in Kansas City after spending time at Lincoln Trail College, appearing in 17 games and making a pair of starts in 2024. He appeared in all four of KC's postseason games last year and has made appearances in five games this season.
- A 2024 Second Team All-Summit Leaguer, Raphael Kistmann came to KC from Saint Louis CC and made an immediate impact. He scored eight goals last season and tallied 22 total points, ranking third in the Summit. He has made three starts this year, notching a pair of assists in the Roos' win over SIUE.
- After a three-year career at Incarnate Word, Timothy Ospina came to Kansas City this past offseason and has been a key player for the Roos. He has appeared in 11 games, making three starts and playing 337 minutes with a season-high of 67 minutes in the Roos' win over Western Illinois.
- Wade Muttitt came to Kansas City after three years at Saint Mary's, where he was a three-time All-WCC player. He has made five starts in 11 appearances this year, scoring a pair of goals and notching a pair of assists. He currently ranks second on the team with six overall points.
St. Thomas Notes
- St. Thomas enters Saturday's game with a 6-3-3 record and a 1-1-0 mark in league play. The Tommies are most recently coming off a 4-0 loss at North Carolina.
- Mathis Guffroy is the Tommies' offensive leader, tallying five goals and three assists on the year. two of his goals came in a 3-1 win over VMI on Sep. 30.
- As a team, UST has the third-highest scoring offense in the Summit League, averaging 1.67 goals per game.
- The Roos lead the all-time series, 3-2-1 and hold a 2-1-0 advantage in games played in Kansas City.
- St. Thomas won the last meeting, a 2-1 decision that saw Elie Kisoka reach the score sheet for Kansas City.
