Five KC Men's Basketball Games will be streamed on the radio waves
KANSAS CITY (Jan. 23, 2025) — Expanding the mission to make Kansas City Athletics accessible to the entire Kansas City community, the Roos have announced a new partnership with Union Broadcasting, which owns and operates Sports Radio 810 WHB and ESPN Kansas City 94.5 FM / 1510 AM. The partnership will bring Kansas City Men's Basketball to the local radio waves for five games this season and pave the path for guest appearances on KC's favorite sports radio talk shows.
"Bringing a partnership with Sports Radio 810 WHB to Kansas City Athletics is critical for our outreach in Kansas City," Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Dr. Brandon Martin said. "Folks all around the community tune in to Sports Radio 810 WHB day in and day out, bringing elevated visibility and promotion to Kansas City's College Team."
Five Kansas City Men's Basketball games will be featured on either Sports Radio 810 WHB, which is also simulcast on 103.7 FM, or ESPN Kansas City 94.5 FM / 1510 AM throughout the rest of the regular season, beginning with the Roos' contest against South Dakota State at 7 p.m. this evening. Four more games will be broadcast live as Kansas City continues its quest for a Summit League championship and NCAA Tournament berth.
"We're excited to have the Roos back on the home of Kansas City sports," said Todd Leabo, Union Broadcasting Vice President of Sports Operations. "We are Kansas City's sports radio home, so it only makes sense to have Kansas City's college team as part of our lineup."
In addition to the streaming of games, Kansas City coaches will make appearances throughout the season, and cross-promotional items will be included within shows and on social media platforms.
