Kansas City shows strong net play but falls short in a hard-fought match against Houston Christian
Houston, Texas - Kansas City fought hard but came up short against Houston Christian in a tight 3-0 battle (25-23, 25-23, 25-23). Kaia Dunford led the Roos' offense, racking up 15 kills while hitting .297. Sydney Henry dished out 32 assists. Despite strong efforts on defense, including 2.5 blocks from Ledisi Kpea, the Roos couldn't close the gap and fell to the Huskies.

Trailing 11-16, the Roos chipped away at the five-point deficit as Nyle Mathis and Kaia Dunford sent two deep kills to bring it to 14-16. Leah Green then set up Dunford for her 14th kill of the night, narrowing the gap to 17-18. Kansas City continued to close in, pulling within 21-22 after a timeout, but the Huskies capitalized on Roos' errors to take the set, 25-23.
