The Roos will host 13 home games throughout the season
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Women's Basketball is thrilled to announce its full 2024-25 schedule, marking an exciting new chapter as they enter their third year under Head Coach Dionnah Jackson-Durrett. With a roster featuring seven new faces and a commitment to building on past successes, the Roos are poised for a season filled with high-energy and challenging matchups.
The Roos will kick off their season with a road trip to Utah, facing Utah State on Nov. 4 and Utah Valley on Nov. 6. The season's home opener will follow on Nov. 9, as Kansas City hosts William Jewell at the Swinney Center. The Roos will continue their non-conference slate with road games against Western Illinois and Alabama A&M, rematches from the 2023-24 season.
A notable highlight of the early season will be a Nov. 22 home game against Lindenwood, a prelude to a high-profile road contest at Nebraska on Nov. 26. Kansas City will return home to face UT Dallas on Nov. 30, before participating in the second annual Big Sky-Summit League Challenge. This year's challenge will see the Roos travel to Sacramento State and host Idaho State on Dec. 4 and 7. The Summit League emerged victorious in the inaugural challenge, thanks in part to a pair of Kansas City wins over Portland State and Weber State.
Continuing their challenging schedule, the Roos will face Kansas for the second consecutive year, traveling to Lawrence on Dec. 11, and then taking on Tulsa on Dec. 15. Kansas City will conclude its non-conference play with a holiday multi-team event in Texas, where they will play Texas A&M - Corpus Christi and UTRGV on Dec 19 and 20 before hosting Westminster on December 29.
Summit League play for Kansas City begins on Jan. 2 with a road trip to St. Thomas. The Roos will aim to improve upon their eighth-place finish from last season, playing each Summit League team at home and on the road.
The 2024-25 season promises to be an exhilarating one for Roos fans, with a total of 13 home games scheduled throughout the year.
