
Dr. Brandon Martin Named to Men's Basketball Oversight Committee

Martin's tenure will run through June of 2025
INDIANAPOLISÂ - Dr. Brandon Martin, Vice Chancellor/Director of Kansas City Athletics, has been named to the Division I Men's Basketball Oversight Committee with his appointment beginning on July 1. This move comes in correspondence with the conclusion of his tenure on the NCAA Division I Competition Committee, which he was a member for the past three years.
"I am honored to be selected and represent the Summit League Conference on the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Oversight Committee," Martin said. "I'm looking forward to the opportunity and making a meaningful contribution to the advancement of college men's basketball."
The Men's Basketball Oversight Committee will supervise qualifications and/or selection procedures for the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship. The committee will review recommendations from the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee and process other issues related to the administration of the championship. The committee also provides direction to the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Rules Committee regarding playing rules. The committee will be comprised of representatives from each divisional subgroup.Â
Martin will add his service on the Basketball Oversight Committee to other NCAA national-level experiences. In addition to his time on the NCAA Division I Council, he has served as the 2nd Vice president for the DI-AAA Athletics Director Association. Martin's tenure on the Division I Men's Basketball Oversight Committee will run through June 30, 2025.
