Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City welcomes Oral Roberts to Durwood Soccer Stadium on Saturday for the regular season finale. Since Head Coach Ryan Pore took over in 2020, the Roos are 1-2-1 in the final game of the regular season.
- The match will serve as a de facto play-in game for the Summit League Finals. Denver has already clinched the #1 seed, leaving the Roos and Golden Eagles to fight for the second spot. A win or a draw puts Kansas City into the Championship game, while a loss gives ORU the #2 seed.
- Kansas City comes off a 12-0 drubbing of Avila that saw the Roos break multiple records: most individual goals in a single game (Hector Taboada, 5), most team goals in a single game (12), most assists in a single game (Kistmann/Dean, 3) and most shots in a single game (52).
- Taboada's five-goal performance is not only the most by a Roo in program history, it is also the most by a player in Division One since the 2019 season.
- Elie Kisoka continues to lead the league in goals and total points. He has 11 goals, tying Eric McWoods and Bryan Perez for second-most in a single season in program history. His 28 points ties Brian Harris' 2008 mark for most in a single season in program history.
- Kansas City's offense is one of the most high-octane in the nation: the Roos are second in total goals (46) and total points (139), trailing only Duke in both categories. Additionally, KC ranks fifth in the NCAA in total assists (47).
Oral Roberts Notes
- Oral Roberts enters Saturday's match up with a 7-5-3 overall record and a 4-3 mark in Summit play. The Golden Eagles have 12 points in league play, trailing Kansas City by just one.
- ORU is led offensively by Omar Mora, who ranks second in the Summit League with 10 goals on the season.
- The Golden Eagles' Luis Flores has notched six goals and four assists on the year, tallying 16 points.
- Kansas City came away with the win when these teams met earlier in the season, a 2-1 victory that saw Raphael Kistmann notch his second brace of the year.
