Kansas City Women's Basketball Travels to No. 25 Nebraska

The Roos and Huskers tip off Tuesday at 7 p.m.
THE STARTERS
- Kansas City enters the game looking to pick up its second road win. The Roos opened the season with an 80-77 victory at Utah State where Alayna Contreras led the Blue and Gold earning a career-high 29 points. Three other Roos reached double-digits in the win: Lisa Thomas (17), Emani Bennett (12) and Tamia Ugass (10).Â
- In their most recent game, the Roos fell to Lindenwood 62-67 in a highly contested match. Emani Bennett led Kansas City from the field, putting up the fourth 20+ point performance of her career. Nebraska hosts Lindenwood for their next game on Dec. 3.Â
- The Roos lead the Summit League in both turnovers forced per game and steals per game. On average, Kansas City forces 22.17 turnovers per game ranking them 48th in the nation. They rank 81st in the country for steals per game averaging more than 10 a game.
- In her fifth appearance as a Roo, Junior Chloe Dallas had a standout performance against Lindenwood, earning six points and six rebounds in just 14 minutes of play. Dallas ranked second on the team in rebounds, just two behind Tamia Ugass who notched eight.Â
- Ana Oliveira Dias averages 22.3 minutes per game for Kansas City and ranks 36th in the nation in steals per game averaging three.
SCOUTING NEBRASKA
- The Huskers enter the game coming off their first loss of the season. Nebraska traveled to Creighton on Nov. 22, falling 74-80 to the Bluejays. Alexis Markowski put up a double-double in the loss, bringing down 12 rebounds and scoring 26 points. She also leads the team in blocks with two.Â
- So far this season, the Huskers are unbeaten at home. Their last home loss came against Rutgers on Feb. 3, 2024, when Nebraska lost by one point 70-71.Â
- Nebraska holds a 4-0 advantage over Kansas City, winning their most recent matchup on Nov. 14, 2017, 80-60. The Huskers have hosted three of the four meetings with Kansas City with the first taking place in Lincoln in Jan. of 1988.Â
- The Huskers have faced two of Kansas City's Summit League opponents already this year, defeating Omaha 88-48 on Nov. 4 and beating South Dakota 113-70 on Nov. 16.Â
