Softball Prepares to Play No. 25 Missouri and Northern Colorado Later this Week

Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City will look to build on its winning streak, coming off a 5-0 victory last weekend against Rider.
- Freshman Katie Noble leads the Roos in pitching, locking down her first career no-hitter in the matchup against Rider last weekend. The last Kansas City no-hitter took place on Feb. 23, 2019 in a game against Grambling State.
- Five Roos have started in each of the 18 games this season: Kiki McCrea, Sydney Nichols, Lexy Smith, Ally Vonfeldt and freshman Katie Noble.
- Ally Vonfeldt leads the Roos at bat with a .308 avg. When it comes to slugging she is second on the team with .404 and has earned nine runs this season.
- The Roos finished last season with a 13-34 record. Kansas City brought in Kiki Stokes O'Connor to coach this year, with seven players returning from last year's team.
- Returning Junior, Sydney Nichols has hit two home runs for the Roos this season. She leads the team with 28 total bases and is tied for second with four doubles.
Missouri Notes
- Missouri is coming off a win against over Tulsa with a 15-6 record so far this season.
- These teams met last season in Columbia, the Tigers defeated the Roos 5-1.
- Missouri falls one in the rankings down to No. 25 splitting games with Tulsa last weekend.
- Alex Honnold leads the Tigers in batting with a .511 avg. and 1.022 slugging percentage.
- Northern Colorado plays Kansas City off of a one game losing streak, despite going 3 - 1 last weekend.
- In the last matchup between the Bears defeated the Roos 1-0.
- Erin Caviness leads Northern Colorado in pitching, boasting a 3.0 ERA in 58.1 innings pitched this season.
- This will be Northern Colorado's first at-home match up of the season.
