The Roos face SIUE in a doubleheader tomorrow followed by their second series of conference play against South Dakota
Kansas City Notes

- Pre-season player to watch Camryn Stickel has challenged opponents from the circle. Stickel has started eight games in the circle for the Roos earning 36 strikeouts so far this season, 11 of which the batters struck out looking.
- Freshmen have proven to be an essential part of the Kansas City team, especially on defense. Three freshmen, Katie Noble, Lauren Parker and Taylor Kvale lead the team in fielding percentage boasting a perfect 1.000.
- The Cougars look to remedy its five-game losing streak. SIUE and Kansas City both faced UT Martin earlier, SIUE lost the two games while Kansas City won its pair.
- The most recent, and only meeting between the Roos and Cougars was in 2013. Both SIUE and Kansas City welcomed new coaches to their programs this year.
- South Dakota comes into the matchup hot off two conference wins against North Dakota in its Summit League opener last weekend. In its two games, South Dakota held North Dakota to just one run.
