Starting Five
- Kansas City remains on the road for the third-straight game this weekend, traveling to Tulsa for its second meeting of the season with Oral Roberts. The three-game stretch marks the second-longest road trip of the year for KC, following a six-game stint in non-conference play. So far, the Roos have picked up two road wins on the year.
- E'Lease Stafford has established a position in the running for the Summit League's newcomer of the year award, averaging 16.8 points per game to lead all newcomers. She is a threat outside of her offensive game as well, averaging 0.91 blocks per contest and ranking ninth in the league. Listed at 6'0, she is tied for the shortest player in the top-nine.
- After an 0-4 start to Summit League play, the Roos have begun to find their stride against conference opponents, winning three of their last seven contests. In the three wins, Kansas City has held its opponents to 17.1% shooting from three-point range and has out-rebounded opponents by an average of 4.3 boards per game.
- Rain Green has taken control of the point guard position for Kansas City after missing a month due to injury throughout non-conference play. Across the past seven games, she is averaging 12.7 points and 6.4 assists per game, and has pulled down five rebounds three times in that span. In league play, she ranks second among all players with a 5.1 assist per game average.
- The Roos have shot at least 40% from the field in each of the past five games after reaching that mark in just three of the previous 15 games.
