
Women's Basketball Wraps Up Regular Season at Home

Starting Five
- Kansas City looks to finish the regular season with some momentum, facing South Dakota and South Dakota state in the final two home games of the season. Across the past five seasons, the Roos have a combined 8-2 record in their final two home games of the regular season.
- Graduate guard E'Lease Stafford will be honored for Senior Day on Saturday. Stafford has started in 23-of-23 appearances this year, ranking top-10 in the Summit in field goal percentage, free throw percentage, minutes per game, points per game, three point percentage and threes per game.
- Manna Mensah will also be honored during Senior Day festivities. The transfer joined the team at the beginning of conference play and has been an impact player. She averages 34.8 minutes per game, posted the first two double-doubles of her career, and has gone for 20-plus points on three separate occasions. That includes a career-high 32-point showing at Oral Roberts on Feb. 4.
- Machia Mullens will be celebrated during Senior Day. The forward stepped into an expanded role midway through this season and has been a bright spot for the Roos. She has surpassed double-digit scoring six times and has logged three double-doubles. KC has a 2-1 record when she posts a double-double.
- The 22nd-best shot-blocking team in the nation, the Roos have logged at least one block in every game this season, and have gone for multiple blocks in every game since Nov. 26.
SDSU Notes
- South Dakota State stands undefeated in Summit League play and have clinched the league title for the third year in-a-row.
- The Jackrabbits took the first meeting between the two teams, 86-54. SDSU scored the first 19 points of the day and never looked back.Â
- The Roos have one win against SDSU all-time, coming on Jan. 11, 2010 in the Swinney Center.
- South Dakota State is one of the best rebounding teams in the nation, averaging 10.4 more rebounds than its opponents.
- Three players average double-digit scoring, led by Myah Selland's 15.9 points per game.
South Dakota Notes
- South Dakota currently sits in a tie for fourth in the conference at 8-8. The Coyotes have lost five of their last six games.
- USD won the first meeting on Dec. 19, taking an 82-59 victory. Rain Green scored a career-high 21 points to lead the Roos.Â
- The Coyotes have won the past seven meetings, but the Roos are 3-3 all-time against USD when playing in KC.
- South Dakota leads the conference in three-point percentage, knocking down the triple at a 35.2% clip.
- Grace Larkins averages 17.4 points per contest, ranking third in the conference.
