Kansas City Notes

The Roos enter the seventh week of Summit League play in tie for third as they head to North Dakota to face off against North Dakota State and North Dakota for the last time in regular season matches, after beating the second-ranked Denver 3-2

Senior Odyssey Warren has been the standout performer for the Roos this season, amassing a total of 358 kills. She currently holds the third position in the league for points. Warren achieved a career-high of 27 kills during a match against the league's second- ranked team, Denver.

Leah Green continues to be a vital asset for Kansas City and leads the Summit League in the 2023 season, amassing a total of 413 Digs with an average of 4.69 per set.

As of now, Kansas City is tied for the third position in the Summit League standings following their recent matches against Omaha and Denver. The Roos currently occupy the second place in the league for kills per set, just behind the Bisons with a commendable 12.89 kills per set, while maintaining a hitting percentage average of .240 as they head into week 7.

North Dakota State Notes

Kansas City is committed to turning the tables in their 24th meeting with NDSU after their 0-3 loss on October 26, 2023.

Senior Kelly Johnson maintains her top position in the Summit League with an average of 10.51 assists per set, simultaneously holding the 25th rank in the national standings.

North Dakota State leads the league with 13.76 kills per match after achieving a six-match winning streak, marking the Bisons' longest run since 2017.

The Roos head to Grand Fork, ND with a clear goal of securing a win series against the Fighting Hawks for the 2023 season.

In their most recent encounter on October 12th, the Roos achieved a clean sweep over North Dakota in Kansas City, simultaneously restricting the Fighting Hawks to a .139 hitting percentage over 2.76 sets.

Marissa Stockman is the top hitter in the Summit League, boasting a .390 hitting percentage in league matches. She also delivered an exceptional .600 hitting average against South Dakota.
