The Roos out-shot the Pioneers, but could not find the back of the net

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Men's Soccer (2-5-4, 0-1-2) dropped a tightly contested matchup against Denver (6-2-4, 2-0-1) this evening, 1-0. Denver scored early off a penalty kick, and from then on it was all defense from both sides the rest of the half. Kansas City put together many attacks in the second half, but Denver made multiple key saves to hang on and win.

Kansas City out-shot Denver 20-5, making them just the third team to put up more shots than Denver in a match this season, and the first Summit League team to do so.
The 15-shot advantage for Kansas City was the biggest advantage by the team in a loss since KC out-shot Houston Christian, 29-10, in a 3-1 loss on Oct. 5, 2017.
