KC Hits the Road for a Pair of League Matchups

The Roos will take on Southern Indiana tonight at 7 p.m. and Western Illinois on Saturday at 1 p.m.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -Â Kansas City Men's Soccer looks to stay undefeated in conference play with a pair of road contests against Southern Indiana and Western Illinois.
Kansas City Notes
- Kazuki Kimura and Christian Koffi continued their breakout seasons in the Roos' league-opening win over Lindenwood, each tallying three points.
- With four total assists and a rate of 0.67 assists per game, Koffi ranks atop the Summit League and is 16th in the nation in apg rate.
- Kimura leads the Roos with three total goals, ranking third in the league and 135th nationwide with a 0.43 goals per game rate.
- Seven Roos have combined for 11 total KC goals on the season, drawing within one of last year's eight total goal scorers.
- In four results, the Roos are out-shooting opponents 54-38. In comparison, in three losses, KC has been out-shot 57-22.
- The Roos are one of the top teams in the Summit League in creating dangerous scoring chances, averaging 5.0 shots on goal per game, which ranks second in the conference.
Southern Indiana NotesÂ
- In their first year of Division One competition, the Screaming Eagles have put together a 0-6-2 record, claiming results against Evansville and Chicago State.
- Both the Roos and Eagles have played Bradley and Lindenwood. USI lost to both teams by one goal, while KC defeated both teams by a goal.
- Nick Faddis is the only Screaming Eagle to have scored multiple goals so far this season, notching a pair of goals on just six total shots.
Western Illinois Notes
- The Leathernecks hold an 0-5-3 record going into Saturday's match, with draws against IUPUI, Milwaukee and Northern Kentucky.
- Western Illinois has been shut out in four of its five losses, averaging 2.5 shots on goal in those clean sheet losses.
- Six Leathernecks have scored on the year, led by Xavier Brown with two goals.
- Muazu Sagir ranks second in the league with three total assists.
