KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Volleyball struggled to find traction in the final game of the KC Roos Classic this afternoon, falling to Wichita State, 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 31-29). Raina Smith led the bulk of the Kansas City attack, notching 12 kills on 30 attempts.

KEY MOMENTS

S1 / 5-5 | Smith's first kill of the day tied things up in the early going.
S1 / 13-16 | Carly Gillen notched a kill following a KC timeout, drawing the Roos within three points.
S1 / 22-24 | The Roos fought off three set points, using kills by Rachel Sturdevant and Gillen, but the Shockers finished the set to take the 1-0 lead.
S2 / 4-3 | A kill by Georgia Mullins gave the Roos an early lead, but WSU responded with a 7-2 run.
