Kansas City Notes
- The Roos have posted at least four sweeps in every season since the 2012 campaign. To reach that mark this year, KC will need to notch a pair of sweeps in their final 11 matches.
- Defensively, the back row has been a strength for the Roos. Kansas City averages 15.19 digs per set, which ranks 79th in the nation. Libero Kennedy Schritenthal has headed the defensive efforts, averaging 4.26 dps, ranking third in the league.
- Generally used as a six-rotation player, Odyssey Warren is a point-scoring threat at all levels. She leads the team in kills and aces, ranking third in blocks per set. She has accumulated 264.0 total points on the year, which is fifth in the Summit and 100th in Division One.
- The sweep over St. Thomas saw the Roos swing at a 0.262 rate, the fifth-highest mark on the season. The Roos have logged a hitting percentage of at least 0.200 in 10 matches total this year, including six of the last nine.
- The service game has been a tell-tale sign for the Roos this year. In four of their five wins, KC has logged five-or-more aces. The lone exception was the five-set win over Howard, which saw the team log a season-high 62 kills.
South Dakota State Notes
- The Roos will challenge a hot SDSU team that dropped just one set last week and has logged wins in four of their last five matches.
- At 4-2 in Summit League play, the Jackrabbits are currently sixth in the standings. They are a half-game back of Denver and Omaha for a tie for fourth.
- SDSU won a 3-1 decision in the teams' last meeting, snapping a streak of five-straight Kansas City wins against the Jackrabbits.
- Crystal Burk carries a large load in the South Dakota State attack, averaging 4.16 kills per set. That mark is the second best in the league and 28th in the nation.
South Dakota Notes
- After dropping a five-set decision against North Dakota State on Sep. 27, the Coyotes have rattled off three-straight wins. They will play Oral Roberts prior to Saturday's meeting.
- At 16-2 overall, South Dakota holds the 14th-best win percentage in the nation (.889). They are one of just 18 teams in the nation with two-or-fewer losses.
- Elizabeth Juhnke is the star of the show for the Coyotes, ranking first in the nation in total points, attacks and kills.
- South Dakota has won three-straight against the Roos dating back to 2020 Summit League Semifinals.
