Men's Basketball Set for Calvary Bible

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Men's Basketball returns home after a three-game road stand, taking on Calvary Bible in the first-ever meeting between the two programs on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Following a three-game win streak, the Roos dropped both contests at Arkansas State over Thanksgiving weekend. The team will look to get back on the right track as they take on Calvary Bible for the first time in program history.
After posting 13 points and 11 rebounds against Morehead State, Marvin Nesbitt Jr. is the lone Roo to have posted a double-double thus far this season. Nesbitt has four games with seven-plus boards and ranks fifth in the Summit in rebounds per game.
Through seven games, Evan Gilyard II has broken the 25-point mark twice, including a career-high 30-point performance against Idaho State last week. Gilyard is shooting 50% from three on the season, and has shot 66.7% from range in games that KC has won.
After being held to less than 22 minutes of playing time in four of the Roos' first five games, Josiah Allick logged 30-plus minutes in each of the last two contests. He led the Roos in scoring in both games, including a season-high nine rebounds against Arkansas State.
Kansas City wants to play a slow game, and that has come to fruition thus far. The Roos are holding opponents to 65.1 points per game, the best mark in the Summit. They are also scoring 69.0 points per game, which ranks fifth in the league.
According to the most recent RPI data on cbssports.com, the Roos are ranked No. 132, which is third in the Summit behind Western Illinois (33) and South Dakota State (59).
