The Roos will take on the Golden Eagles in the final game of the regular season
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Women's Soccer plays host to Oral Roberts for the final game of the regular season on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Roos will honor their senior class following the game.
Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City closes out its regular season against Oral Roberts, with three vital points on the line. A win would give the Roos 15 points in conference play, which would put them in a tie with South Dakota and Omaha for third place. The top four teams in the league qualify for the conference tournament.
- Logging an average of 6.57 saves per game, Mackenzie Caldwell impacts each game for the Roos in net. Her saves per game mark is the best in the Summit League and ranks 17th in the nation.
- Kassi Ginther has been Kansas City's offensive staple this year, scoring a team-leading six goals. She ranks ninth in the Summit in shots (2.28) and goals (.33) per game and the Roos are 5-1 in games which she logs a point.
- Five Roos - Sophia Limongi, Morgan McLaughlin, Kassi Ginnther, Emma Byrne and Anna Jennings - have started all 18 games this season. With 1610 minutes played, Limongi leads the bunch, having played every minute of every match since the win over Missouri State.
- With three on the year, McLaughlin is the Roos' leading assister. Kansas City has won each game in which she has logged an assist. Four other Roos have notched two assists.
