Roos Look to Extend Win Streak

KC Volleyball takes on Omaha on the road tomorrow at 7 p.m. followed by home matches with North Dakota and North Dakota State
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Volleyball takes a nine-set winning streak to Omaha tomorrow at 7 p.m., then will return home for matches with North Dakota on Thursday at 7 p.m. and North Dakota State on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Volleyball carries a three-match winning streak into Tuesday's game against Omaha, winning all three via a sweep. The Roos have swept seven opponents on the season.
- As one of the top teams in the conference, Kansas City ranks top-three among Summit League teams in aces, assists, digs and kills per set.
- Melanie Brecka has continued her All-American play into the 2021 season. She is third in the conference in kills per set with an average of 3.55, and ranks tops in the conference and 50th in the nation in total points with 314.0.
- Maddie Renn ranks as one of the top defensive players in the league, averaging 4.66 digs per set. That mark is the best in the Summit League and ranks 53rd among Division One players.
- Kennedy Schritenthal has stepped into an increased role this season, breaking double-digit digs eight times, including in three of the last four matches. She also averages 0.37 aces per set, good for fifth in the Summit.
- Alli Schomers currently leads the Summit League with an average of 10.97 assists per set. Her career assists mark of 4,123 is third in program history.
Omaha Notes
- The Roos and Mavericks met twice last year, battling to five sets both times. Omaha took the first match, while the Roos took the second, sparking a 11-game winning streak.
- The Mavs are led by two-time All-Summit honoree Sadie Limback, who ranks tops in the Summit with a 3.76 kills per set average.
North Dakota Notes
- Kansas City defeated North Dakota in the first meeting between the two squads, a 3-1 win on Sep. 25. Since then, UND has lost its last seven matches.
- Lexi Ahrens is the Fighting Hawks' biggest point-scoring threat, averaging 1.16 blocks and 2.47 kills per set. Both of those marks rank top-10 in the Summit.
North Dakota State Notes
- While NDSU owned the beginning of this series, winning the first 15 matches, the Roos have won four-straight, including a 3-1 win in Fargo on Sep. 23.
- The Bison attack is led in tandem by Ali Hinze and Syra Tanchin, who average 3.43 and 3.36 kills per set, respectively.
