STATS TO NOTE
- Sophia Grantham attempted the first shot of her career in the 78th minute, forcing the Denver keeper to make a save.
- Jensen's goal was her first of the season after scoring two last year.
- Simms logged her second-career assist, the first coming in the win over Southern Illinois on Aug. 27.

COACH JESS SMITH, QUOTED
- "With five minutes left in the first half, we made three errors and Denver, who is a fantastic team, capitalized on them. Going down 4-0 was really disappointing, but I thought our players fought the whole second half and never quit, when it could have been really easy to do so."
- "There are moments to build on from this game and we'll commit to focusing our energy on what we need to do on Sunday."
UP NEXT
The Roos will look to get back on the right track at Omaha on Sunday, taking on the Mavericks at 1 p.m.
