UMKC SOFTBALL SCHEDULES WINTER CAMPS

UMKC head softball coach Meredith Smith Neal has announced two upcoming winter camp dates. The first camp will be held on December 2nd and will be an elite players camp open to any and all players in 7th grade or older. The second camp is scheduled for January 13th and will be a skills camp for ages 8 and older.
This year's camps will be conducted at the new home, state of the art facility for UMKC Softball at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy located at 1622 E. 17th Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri 64108.
Attendees who bring a toy to the Dec. 2 camp for a holiday toy drive will be entered to win UMKC softball apparel or equipment!
How to design your own experience:
Decide what position(s) you want to concentrate on and select the session(s) that will benefit you as a player.
1 session=$100
1 defense + 1 hitting session=$150
2 defensive sessions=$125
2 defensive + 1 hitting session=$175
3 defensive + 1 hitting session=$200

Fill out your registration online: Pay fees day of camp. Cash, credit, or check accepted. Walk-Ups accepted with the possible exception of the hitting sessions due to space constraints.
What you can receive at a camp designed for you:
Instruction and drills designed for your area of play based on your talent level
- An evaluation and tips to help you improve your play
- Mental training suggestions
- Q&A with current UMKC players and coaches
- Incredible recruiting opportunity for athletes interested in attending UMKC
What to wear: T-shirts, softball pants, turf or tennis shoes
What to bring: Softball equipment; everything you would bring to a game.
Water coolers will be provided along with cups. You may bring your own water bottle. Concessions will not be provided.

7:30am Registration
8:00am-10:00am Warm Up and Instruction
Hitting Session 1: (40 participant maximum)
9:30am Registration
10:00am-12:00pm Warm Up and Instruction
Outfield/Catchers Defense:
11:30am Registration
12:00pm-2:00pm Warm Up Instruction
Hitting Session 2: (40 participant maximum)
1:30pm Registration
2:00pm-4:00pm Warm Up and Instruction
Pitching:
3:30pm Registration
4:00pm-6:00pm Warm Up and Instruction
*Pitchers must bring a catcher with them. Catchers will not be charged for participating in this session.
