UMKC Opens WAC Play in Arizona This Weekend

PHOENIX, Ariz. – UMKC men's tennis (6-5) begins Western Athletic Conference play this weekend with matches vs. UT Rio Grande Valley on Friday at 12 p.m. CT, at Grand Canyon (11-9) on Saturday at 5 p.m. CT and Sunday vs. Seattle U (9-9) at 2 p.m. CT. All three contests will be played at the GCU Tennis Facility.
Airam Castellano (Gran Canaria, Spain), Uldis Gaismins (Riga, Latvia) and Tom Kruse (Flensburg, Germany) have led the Roos in the early season.
UMKC opened the spring 4-0 and has also earned victories over Omaha and South Dakota State.
Following this weekend's action, the Roos return to play vs. Saint Louis on Thursday at 2 p.m. CT at the Plaza Tennis Center.
