'Roos Finish Weekend with 6-1 WAC Win Over Cougars

(Las Cruces, N.M.) - The UMKC women's tennis squad bounced back on Sunday to take its first WAC victory, winning 6-1 over Chicago State.
UMKC (7-9, 1-2 WAC) had to play from beind in the match, as the Cougars took wins at the No. 2 and 3 spots in doubles play to take a 1-0 lead.
In singles action the 'Roos bounced back though, winning all six in straight sets. Dominant performances from Dimitra Stavrianakou and Raquel Argenal led the way.
The 'Roos will host Saint Louis and Rockhurst in an April 1 doubleheader, celebrating senior day prior to the RU contest.
