Kangaroos Roll Past Tigers, Start 6-0 at Home

(Kansas City, Mo.) - The UMKC men's tennis team did what it was supposed to on Sunday at home, taking out Cowley College by a 7-0 score and rolling to 6-0 at home this season.
The 'Roos (8-8) evened their record, and head into WAC play this weekend in a cluster at Texas-Pan American.
It was hard fought in doubles, but UMKC took wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in order to seal the point. Cowley (11-8) battled back for a tiebreak win at the No. 1 spot, but it was too late.
UMKC didn't leave any doubt in singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Uldis Gaismins kicked it off with his victory at No. 4, followed closely by Mike Psarros at the No. 6 position. The clinching point came from junior Andrey Smirnov at the No. 2 spot. but the rest of the squad didn't let up on the way to the win.
