'Roos Continue Road Swing with Shockers, Bearcats

(Kansas City, Mo.) - The Kansas City men's tennis team looks to extend its winning streak on Monday and Tuesday with contests against Wichita State and Northwest Missouri State, both on the road.
Kansas City posts a 6-8 overall record after going 2-1 last week in Florida, behind the play of Nino Hasandedic, who went 3-0 on the week. Grant Fleming and Tomas Patino have led the 'Roos overall on the season, with 12-4 and 13-4 records, respectively. The pair also leads the way at No. 1 doubles, posting an 11-3 mark.
Wichita State (10-6) is coming off a 4-0 loss to Oklahoma State on Thursday, March 28. On the season the Shockers have posted a combined singles record of 83-56 in singles play and 43-25 in doubles play. Matheus Pereira and Tin Ostojic are 12-3 on the season in doubles competition, including winning eight out of their last ten matches.
Northwest Missouri State is ranked No. 22 in the nation in Division II, posting a 9-3 overall record. No. 1 player Sergio De Vilchez is 16-4 overall, while No. 3 player Lluis Altimires is 11-3. UMKC coach Kendell Hale is a graduate of Northwest Missouri, playing for current head coach Mark Rosewell.
