'Roos Hold Off Jackrabbits in Summit Battle, 4-3

The 'Roos (5-10, 2-0 SL) took the doubles point after securing wins at No. 2 and No. 3, but SDSU (7-9, 0-2 SL) fought for a tiebreak win at No. 1.
In singles play, Kansas City made it 3-0 when Maddie Schulte and Dimitra Stavrianakou each won in straight sets at Nos. 5 and 3 respectively. The Jacks cut it to 3-1 when Beatriz Souza took a three-set win at the No. 4 spot, but UMKC clinched it when Laura Bouet closed out her match at No. 1 in straight sets. SDSU closed the margin to 4-3 in the final two matches.
Kansas City will face Fort Wayne Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Kansas City Country Club. The UMKC match vs. Omaha has been moved to April 9.
