
UMKC Falls At Cleveland State, 2-0

Cleveland, Ohio -- The UMKC women's soccer team fell at Cleveland State on Friday night, 2-0. The loss drops the Kangaroos' record to 0-3 on the season, while the Vikings improved to 3-0-1. The `Roos recorded four shots, while Jami Finnell had 11 saves.
UMKC played lots of defense in the first half, being out shot, 8-1, but were able to escape a 0-0 half. It wasn't until the 62nd minute when Cleveland State would take a 1-0 lead. Natalie Daniels was awarded a penalty kick after a Kangaroo hand ball in the box to give her team the lead.
The Vikings would tack on an insurance goal later in the 75th minute, after Daniels was able to slot the ball in between the UMKC to defense to an on-running Slyvia Olsby.
The Kangaroos close out play in Ohio on Sunday at Youngstown State.
