UMKC Shutout At Creighton

Omaha, Neb. -- The UMKC women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 shutout at Creighton on Wednesday night. The Kangaroos fall to 1-7 on the season, while the Bluejays improve to 7-2-2. Jami Finnell recorded 11 saves in the loss and Ashley Gann recorded two shots.
The `Roos showed promise in the second half, with several great scoring opportunities led by Taylor Bare and Zaina Mayer, but the damage had already been done in the first half.
UMKC gave up its first goal in the first five minutes to Emily Orbell. Creighton then found the back of the net in the 26nd and 37th minute to take a 3-0 lead into the locker room.
The Kangaroos were out-shot 35-6 in the loss.
UMKC is back at home on Sunday, playing host to Missouri State.
