UMKC Falls At Oral Roberts, 3-0

Tulsa, Okla. -- The UMKC women's soccer team was shutout at Oral Roberts, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon. The Kangaroos fall to 1-14-1 overall and 0-6-1 in The Summit League while the Golden Eagles improve to 9-6-1 overall and 4-2-1 in league play. Jami Finnell recorded seven saves in the loss.
The UMKC defense battled tough in the first half and escaped tied 0-0 to Oral Roberts, despite being out-shot 11-4.
The second half was a different story, as the Golden Eagles were able to score three goals in the final 16 minutes of play. Oral Roberts notched its first goal in the 74th minute and found the back of the net just a minute in a half later, jumping out to a 2-0 lead. The Golden Eagles scored one final goal in the 85th minute of play.
UMKC will close out the 2010 regular season at home with IPFW on Thursday at 4 p.m. and Oakland on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
