
The `Roos Take On North Dakota State On Sunday

Kansas City, Mo. -- The UMKC women's soccer team hits the road for a pair of Summit League matches up north this weekend. The Kangaroos are on the second part of their road trip, facing North Dakota State on Sun., Oct. 25 at noon. UMKC is coming off of a 5-0 loss to South Dakota State on Friday night.
UMKC is currently 1-14-1 on the season and 1-5 in league play, securing its first program win against Southern Utah last weekend. Ariel Rank scored the first game winning goal in UMKC women's soccer history and Zaina Mayer scored her fourth goal of the season.
» North Dakota State
The Bison are 7-6-2 on the year and are tied for first in The Summit League with a 4-1 record. North Dakota State is led by Brooklyn Dyce who has four goals and two assists so far this season. Kalani Bertsch has been in goal for the Bison and is 6-5-2 on the season. Bertsch has given up 19 goals and recorded 67 saves. North Dakota State is coming off of a 2-1 win at Western Illinois.

Kangaroos Fall To Jackrabbits
The UMKC women's soccer team traveled to Brookings, S.D., to take on South Dakota State on Friday night. The Kangaroos fell 5-0 to the Jackrabbits, dropping to 1-14-1 on the regular season and 1-5 in The Summit League. Jami Finnell recorded four saves for the Kangaroos.
The first half was evenly played but the `Roos closed out the half down 1-0 following a South Dakota State goal in the 31st minute.
The Jackrabbits' explosive second half would result in four goals, handing the `Roos their fifth league loss. South Dakota State scored in the 49th, 52nd, 55th and 78th minute.
KANGAROOS WIN!
Ariel Rank has proved to be a tough competitor for the `Roos all season long in the back but she truly stepped up her game against Southern Utah last weekend. The sophomore scored her first regular season goal and it proved to be the game winner against the Thunderbirds.
This is not the first time that Rank was an offensive threat to an opponent. She scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Northwest Missouri State in the Kangaroos first exhibition game back in August.
Kangaroos In The Summit League
As a team, UMKC leads The Summit League overall in team saves with 126 headed into the game with South Dakota State. Jami Finnell continues to lead the league overall in saves and saves per game. The freshman has 125 saves on the year and is recording 8.33 saves per game in the back.
