Emily Hoskins joined the UMKC Athletics staff as the ticket operations graduate assistant in August of 2013. She is responsible for all ticketed sports at UMKC that include, Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Volleyball & Softball. Her duties include the following, but not limited to, processing game-day transactions, accounting for all cash received, verifying daily cash reports, maintaining accurate bookkeeping documents, and depositing all ticket receipts. She also supervises a staff of student workers employed to staff the Box Office, Will Call, Player/Coach & Recruit Pass lists.
Prior to her commitment to UMKC Athletics, for four seasons Hoskins served as the Director of Marketing and Promotions for the Kansas City T-Bones Baseball Club, the minor league baseball team in Kansas City, KS(2010-2013). Due to a small from office staff, she wore many hats and became involved in almost every facet of the minor league organization. Primarily she planned, coordinated and executed all aspects of pre-game, in-game and post-game entertainment. Hoskins managed community relations, promotion street teams and co-managed social media. She also assisted in the design of many print and electronic media materials (pocket schedules, souvenir programs, schedule magnets, ect.). Simultaneously, Hoskins would also serve as an account executive, generating new advertising and tickets sales for the organization.
A graduate of Avila University in 2009, Hoskins earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications along with a minor in business administration. She was a four-year letter winner on the Women’s Basketball Team. While at Avila she interned with the Kansas City Sports Commission as an e-commerce intern and with the T-Bones as a promotions intern.
Hoskins is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing.
