2013 -- Played in 14 games, starting seven times in the midfield and at forward... Scored a goal against Houston Baptist in the regular season finale (11/9)... Played a season-high 59 minutes on two occasions, last against Seattle at home (11/3).
2012 -- Saw action in 15 games in several midfield positions, starting 14 times... Scored his lone goal in a 3-0 win at Eastern Illinois (9/30)... Also dished out the game-winning assist in a 2-1 overtime win against IUPUI (10/27)... Had a season-best three shots at EIU as well.
2011 -- Played mostly in the central midfield, getting time in 16 and starting 15 games as a sophomore... Tallied his lone point of the season in the finale against SIUE, dishing out an assist... Had a season-high four shots against Drake.
2010 -- Played in 18 games, starting 17 as a true freshman at forward... Tallied his first career point with an assist in a 4-2 win against Oral Roberts (Oct. 1)... His first goal was a game-winner against Illinois-Chicago (Oct. 19) to help UMKC take a 1-0 victory... Also earned Summit Academic All-League honors for his work in the classroom.
High School -- All-state and all-district selection as a senior... served as team captain in 2010... named the Newcomer of the Year as a junior, after helping team to the state title... began playing high school soccer as a junior... scored 10 goals and had 13 assists as a junior and netted five goals to go along with 10 assists as a senior... finished third in the conference in 2010... high school coach was Bob Weir.
Personal -- Born on Dec. 22, 1991, in Upland, Calif... son of John and Deborah Balthazar... has two older siblings, Rory and John... majoring in criminal justice.
